The influence of history
The original models of Montblanc "Penna Baby" of the 10s and 1920s measured between 6 and 8 cm. Small but highly functional, these fountains were made of ebanite and equipped with a 14 ct gold nib. In an era in which the sphere pens and the roller were not yet born, the "pens baby" were the perfect writing tools to bring to the pocket or in a handbag.
The Montblanc "Baby Penne" of the 10s and 1920s were among the smallest and innovative tools of writing their time. Loss -proof, in travel format and easy to use, with their avant -garde design they helped to transform the world of writing into a period when people began to discover the pleasure of traveling for long distances. Today these special editions are reinterpreted by combining traditional design with the artisan mastery of the 21st century to meet the needs of a new generation.
Montblanc Heritage Collection Rouge et Noir "Baby" celebrates the pioneering spirit and the rich tradition of the Maison. Inspired by the "Baby" pens of the 1920s, Montblanc reinterprets this revolutionary design for the time in a modern key. The name is a playful reference to the small size of this model, compared to the other Montblanc writing tools. Created in precious black lacquer with platinum finish details, it is crowned by the Montblanc emblem in fine resin, surrounded by the iconic coral shade of the Rouge et Noir collection. The massive gold nib Au585 handmade by hand presents a design of Mont Blanc.
